My LO is allergic to all nuts except almonds and dairy as well. I worry if he is getting enough healthy fats in his diet. Is it enough to get it from meat and oils? He won't touch eggs, even though he isn't allergic to them!

Avocado and fish oil supplement? Fatty fish like salmon? Coconut milk, things cooked in grapeseed/coconut/olive oils or ghee....

Avocado and sunflower seeds. I love sunflower seed butter which actually is slightly more calorically dense than peanut butter.

Is it the whole egg he objects to? I give H egg yolks. We also give her avocado and I cook stuff in oils to get the fat in there.

Oh I forgot he hates avocado too!
I don't know why I worry. I know fats are good for your brain and he is super smart. But sometimes I think he just looks a little...I dunno, like he could use a little fattening up! Not skinny, necessarily. Just kinda pale. But that could also be cause we are Irish!
He does do sunbutter, almond butter and wow butter. And he loves salmon!
@avivoca: dunno, I haven't tried them in a long time admittedly. I should try them again! He is in a picky phase lately though.

@jedeve: I put avocado oil in her hemp/coconut/soy/almond/whatever milk.

@jedeve: My little guy is a skinny mini and always has been. He was intolerant to milk and soy as a toddler. We did hypoallergenic milk replacements and lots of fatty meats (steak, hamburger, etc). He loves him some meat. But he is still very very skinny.

Avocado and fruit smoothies made with coconut milk (the thicker canned kind) or hemp milk. I don't think the avo is too recognizable if you blend it up with fruit.
I wish my DS would eat salmon! He's dairy/egg allergic and hasn't been tested for nuts yet, so we struggle with the same thing.

When LO was dairy free I used olive oil and coconut oil/coconut cream in everything. Coconut milk with the cream is great in a smoothie.

We use coconut oil as a moisturizer and my LO uses the opportunity to shovel it into her mouth....

Have you ever tried an avocado smoothie? It's really creamy and delicious! I gave it to J the other day and he loved it! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/coconut-avocado-smoothie/ - You can put honey or dates in there to sweeten it up too.
I just did avocado, ice cubes, coconut milk, and honey in a blender (no yogurt). Fatty but healthy!

OH avocado pudding. 1 avocado, 1 banana, 1/3 cup liquid sweetener, 1/3 cup cocoa powder. Some people use sweet potato instead of banana as well. Blend it all up and yummy yummy
