I am going to be heading back to work a week from Monday (commence mixed emotions) and am trying to get ready to get everything ready for my son's feedings at his caregiver's. I have not been overly diligent about pumping extra during my maternity leave but am trying to make an effort to pump and freeze this last week.

I am confused about the following logistics:

- Once I thaw out the milk to pack, I assume that that milk will have to be consumed within a short period of time. How long would you go between when it's been thawed and when he drinks his bottle?
- I will probably need to supplement with formula as I don't think I will have enough milk, although will be pumping at work and hope to mostly use pumped milk. We haven't used formula yet and I think I should try to introduce it before he goes to daycare. How far in advance would you introduce it?
-(This may be the most ridiculous question of all!) Can formula and breastmilk be combined to make a bottle?! I assume they must be kept separate and alternated throughout the day, but I just have no idea!

Thanks for humoring my crazy questions. I am a bit anxious about going back to work and having someone else feed my baby (!) and I think it's causing me to not think clearly about these logistics.
