You've just turned 18. Which gift card would you choose?
Eta: I'm desperate. I waited too long and putting together a few things and making it personal is no longer an option

Depends on the child and how much! But given that I'm assuming she's a graduate enjoying her last summer before college I say mani pedi!

It depends how much the card will be for. If it's $50, that wouldn't be enough to get anything at some of your options. Any option where the amount given wouldn't cover something to buy there should be eliminated (unless others are also giving to the same place so she'd have multiple cards to use that would be enough to buy something).

I voted other. At that age I would have loved a visa/am ex gift card so I could have used it anywhere/toward anything.

Hmm I think most girls that age want to buy lots of things (shopping spree) vs one nice thing, so I voted Target.

I voted Amazon so that it could possibly be used to help pay for textbooks if necessary But Target would be my backup option.

Macy's or Target. Target is a better option for getting more things, but I send my niece Amazon gift cards because she has no options for shopping around her.

Thanks for all your replies! I talked to her mom and found out her fave store is Forever 21. I'm thinking about getting her a gift card there. DH made a good point about Target. She might just buy snacks and household things and I kind of want to steer her into get something she can use. But if I got to choose, I'd definitely choose Target or Amazon for myself!

@ScarletBegonia: They charge $15 for shipping a stinkin gift card! At least it's free with Coach.

Do you have a mall that offers mall gift cards? Then she could use it at any store in the mall? Just another thought...
