Any suggestions for a holiday gift for a 1 year old boy? I haven't been able to find out what they need or what he likes, so I just have to guess...
ETA: Budget is around $50, give or take.

My LO really loves his band in a box (particularly the xylophone) and recently these B blocks:

@spaniellove: He just figured out how to stack them, so they get a lot of play, and they can fall/he can fall on them and I don't worry about them hurting him (like I might if he fell on the edge of a wooden block).
ETA: Also, I can accidentally step on them and not have to bite my tongue to hold in a curse

@lovehoneybee: Yeah, definitely a better idea than the type of blocks I was thinking of before!

Books are always my go-to gift! Or some sort of truck / car or blocks?

MegaBlocks, puzzles, cars, balls, LO really loves her MagnaDoodle-type thing, instruments, more intricate shape sorters, flash cards, books, ride-on toys...

I love this company's toys. They are reasonably priced, durable, and fun!

My 11 month old has this little school bus that you put big Legos on top. My grandma got it for him and he loves it. And the Legos aren't small enough to be a choking hazard or anything.
