My nephew is turning 5 this weekend, and I have yet to buy him a gift. Procrastination at it's finest, but I just don't know what to get him! He likes Thomas the Train, but has everything under the moon for Thomas already. Any suggestions on what else I can get him?

I think 5 is a good age to start getting him some good reading books since he will be starting school. I got my niece who turned 5 in February and Leapster Pad, so she could read and do activities on there it help out with preschool/kindergarten.

Does he have a watch? Disney (and others) have a learn to tell time series of watches that are cool. @jessiejo17: That's a great idea, however, this kiddo got a freakin iPad when he was 2! He's addicted to it, and I don't know if he'll pick up a Leapster in place of his iPad. I'll keep it in mind for my cousin's daughter's bday though. Thanks!

Do you live near any trains? What about taking a short trip (like to your downtown area) on a real "live" Thomas?

I always like to get personalized books or a personalized happy birthday cd.... but I guess it's late for that.
