We are currently renting a house and are on a month-to-month lease.

My lease says I must give 30 days of notice.

I'm thinking ahead. If I get this job, I told them I could start at the end of July or Early April. I'll be moving across the country and already calculated an estimated 2 weeks to give notice to my current employer. GAve myself a week or two to move out and move in.

What happens if I leave the state (AKA move out) before the 30 days. I understand I'm willing to pay rent until the end of July but I wasn't sure if I had to be available on the day that my 30 days are up.

Or is this not an issue? Is my landlord just concerned that I pay up until the 30 days mark (or rent for that month). Will I just do a walk through with him when we are moved out (even if it is before the 30 days)?

If this goes down, it will be pretty quick and I'll probably get professional cleaners to help clean the house before we leave and hand him the keys.

Any other words of advice from renters or fellow landlords?
