Cupcakes decorated to match the theme of the party. If it's a more formal event like Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner I make a cheesecake of some sort (traditional, pumpkin, oreo, etc).

Cheesecake because it's Hubs' family dessert and the one thing I'm really good at.
ETA: Although this weekend I'm making chocolate chip cookies because it should be easy to make them dairy-free!

If it's indoors, cheesecake because the people we hang out with and DH included, love, love, cheesecake. We also bring a fruit tart for those that aren't cheesecake lovers and to bring some kind of fruit to the table!

Smitten Kitchen's Oreos are my current go-to, I like that they are a grab and go type of dessert. Lemon bars get tossed into rotation frequently too.

Lemon bars, or similar. Sometimes raspberry. Sometimes lime. I don't really care for chocolate desserts in the summer because the fruits are so good!

@rahlyrah: @travelgirl1: Okay here it is:
Mix: 1 small pkg lemon jello, 1 pkg lemon cake mix, 4 eggs, 3/4c oil, and 3/4 cup water. Bake in 9x12 pan @ 350 for 20-30 mins
While cooking, whisk together: 2c powdered sugar & 1/3c lemon juice (if using fresh - approx 2 med lemons). Should be glaze-y.
When cake is done, poke holes all over with a fork or toothpick and then immediately pour the glaze over it.
Tastes best the next day after it's been in the fridge! ENJOY!!

I usually make trifle - fruit in summer, chocolate in winter. It's easy and looks pretty.

Blackberry cobbler in the summer. We go to a pick your own berry place and usually get a ton of berries for cheap. In fact, I am makin one now for a party tomorrow.

If I want to really impress, then I make faux Hostess cupcakes. So good. Otherwise, it depends on what I have on hand. I've been known to make peanut butter bacon cookies.
