@regberadaisy: I've been thinking about doing a mini thanksgiving dinner first week in September to ring in the unofficial start to fall! I don't even eat the turkey - I'm mainly in it for the stuffing!
ETA: I'm a sucker for Bell's seasoning!

@Coco Bee: i'll be pretty pregnant this year, but i am determined to go full force! i'm hoping it even gives me and advantage... people are nicer to pregnant women. i have friends with kids, and they will usually leave baby at home with dad until 7 or so, then stop by and get them for the rest of the day of shopping. i can't imagine bringing a baby out at 4am!

I love Thanksgiving! I always make a big turkey even though barely anybody eats it and it's my least favorite part. Then sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn, broccoli casserole, stuffing, rolls, and cranberry sauce. And it's usually just me, DH, my dad, and my dad's wife! I'm ridiculous.

My only must-have at Thanksgiving is my aunt's sweet potato casserole. When I started going to Hubs' family's Thanksgiving, I made it myself and brought it as my contribution (they do a big potluck thing). It is not Thanksgiving without it. Other than that, I can take or leave anything else "traditional" for Thanksgiving. Oh, and when we go to my aunt's out in Michigan (every other year), we have to have Monte Cristo sandwiches the next day with left over turkey. Yummm...
