I just got an email that R's main teacher at day care is leaving. She is going to one closer to her house. Her last day will be the 2nd.
She has been so great in helping R get adjusted to day care and working with her on taking the bottles. She calls R her little honey.
What is a little something that I could get her as a going away present? We have only been there two months, so I don't want to spend a ton. Like $20-$25

You could probably just write her a sweet card and give her a gift card to Target or something. What a bummer she's leaving after all that work she did with R! Are there other teachers that R likes as much?

@Adira: Well my favorite will still be there but she was a close 2nd. I just talk to the one more since she is always there in the morning when I drop her off. Target is good. I mean who doesn't like Target.

@Smurfette: For teacher appreciation day we did Visa gift cards. That way they can get whatever they want.

I hope my daycare teacher never leaves. There's just one main woman for the infants and then there are others that sub in and out. Xander LOVES this woman and she's the only consistent one there. If she left, I think we'd both fall apart! I'm glad that your favorite will still be around!

When I was working in a preschool, I loved receiving gift cards from Target and fun restaurants. I dont like coffee so Starbucks giftcards were always given to my husband which he loved

When I quit my daycare job after 2.5 years, one of the mom's showed up early and gave me a dozen red roses and just said some really nice things. That really made an impact on me because I don't think anyone else went to that effort to say thank you to me. A heartfelt note for all their hard work is much appreciated too.
