A new Korean BBQ place opened up nearby and DH and I want to try it next week- what should I order? I don't like seafood and neither of us loves super spicy foods. Any suggestions?

bulgolgi and chap chae!
aka kind of 'white people food' of korean food. because my husband and his entire family has never had korean food, but they like this when i bring it. so i think it's pretty neutral as far as trying new cuisines go

I second Galbi and Beef Bulgogi....so yummy! And get some yogurt soju to drink, too (if you can have alcohol).
And get a seafood pancake...even if you don't liked seafood, I think you will like it!

I second Kalbi and Bulgogi. Though I'm not Korean, those are just yummy-anyone can appreciate kind of dishes.

@chopsuey119: I'm not sure if it's all you can eat (though that would be awesome!). They're so new they don't have the menu up on their website but maybe once it's up I'll link it here and you guys can tell me if anything looks good

Another consent for bulgogi and kalbi. Chap chae and bimbimbap is good, and seafood pancake are nice compliments.

Bulgogi, Kalbi, and Beef Brisket! Obv. I'm a beef-lover over here! I also love the steamed egg when they have it!

@prettylizy: duuuuuuude I'm so JEALOUS!!!!! Definitely get Galbi (short ribs). If you don't want to risk the seafood pancake, they might have a plain scallion pancake, that's delicious too (with the spiced soy sauce it comes with). It can get pricey so try not to over order, especially if they give you lots of ban chan (complimentary side dishes). And definitely ask for lots of lettuce-- that's my favorite way to eat it. Lay lettuce leaf on your palm, add some rice, a slice of galbi, a schmear of the orange sauce it comes with (or the red spicy, I'm not a spicy eater but I can stand a tiny smear) and wrap it up and eat! Soooooo good.

Make sure to try all the little side dishes thingys they give you. I have no idea what half (ok, 3/4!) of them are, but they are so good and have all different flavors and textures.
