I would just like some gold stars or some hero cookies please. It's 10 am here and I've been up since 7 with the LO and am letting my husband sleep in.
Anyone else do this?

I do! Well I'd be excited if my DH got up but he prefers to sleep late every weekend. Saturdays he likes to stay in bed (will be awake sporadically) until 12. I think you deserve a prize! Our LO also wakes at 7.

Thanks! I'm a morning person anyhow and feel like I'm wasting the day if I stay in bed all morning. It's nice to know there's other people that do that too! Hero cookies all around

We did the opposite. LO woke up at 6 and DH played with her and let me sleep in until 8

@leelee: Oooh! Nice! Funny how that extra 2 hours can make all the difference sometimes, eh?

@cheesetomywhine: staying in bed til noon? I thought that once you had kids, that was no longer legal!!

@cheesetomywhine: He'd better be working 80 hour weeks or something!! Boo on sleeping in.. that's a parenting crime for sure (except for special exceptions).

@mrbee: oh gosh. agreed!! noon is just... wow.
@cheesetomywhine: well... is it a consistent or one-time thing??
DH and I take turns. I get up with DS most mornings during the week, and DH gets up either at the same time or a little later (he doesn't start work until 9 or 10am during the week, and work is 5 mins away).
During the weekends we take turns on who gets up with DS. DH is really, really awesome about it and most weekends he gets up with him because he knows that being a SAHM all week is exhausting. I love that he is so willing to help out.
Today DS slept until 9am so we both got to sleep in! It was great.

@artbee: My LO beat your LO!! haha he didn't wake up until 9am

My husband hasn't gotten up with LO since she was 6 weeks old. (About 2.5 months ago)
But he has to get up for work at 3 a.m. 5 days a week, so I guess it is a trade off.

Yes! Good job I did this morning and almost every day DH has off but he works long hours and I'm use to our routine so it's okay with me.

@Coco Bee: 8:30 is actually pretty early for her. She usually sleeps until at least 9, sometimes 9:45!

Aw man...you deserve 100 gold stars. I don't let my DH sleep in. No way. I'm up all night with a newborn so he owes ME! lol

@artbee: he's not consistent. Today he was up at 6am after being up twice... grr..

@Coco Bee: Oh no! She's not consistent either... but at least it's always after 8:30! Hope it gets later for you!

@Coco Bee: Lol maybe a touch at times but our LO is at her happiest in the morning so I adore that time despite my love of (late morning) sleep.
@pastemoo: Good to know it isn't only my DH!
