@birdofafeather - i know, i was so surprised/saddened/appalled by some of the comments. they missed the whole point and beauty of the article! regardless of our social standing or economic background, it's unfair to devalue someone else's personal experiences by comparing them to our own. everything she wrote and felt was valid and completely hers. i'll never understand why people spend so much energy leaving hateful comments and putting others down.

@mamacate - you don't want to read the comments!! it really shows the ugly side of human nature. and i can relate too... sometimes its easy to look at others' pictures and think they have it better when we're all in the same boat in some way. i also liked that the author mentioned that perhaps she posts the nice things more often than not because she wants to capture those moments in time when things are really really good because she wants to hold onto those moments forever and not let the bad times cloud the good.
