I cleaned a lot, we saw some performance art at a park downtown, and we went to the movies.

@mediagirl: well, I'm probably not going to seek out a job for another year or so - my degree is Couple & Family Therapy, so a lot of it is forming alliances with the clients..and since I'm due in a few months, I don't think anyone would really hire me knowing I'd be leaving right away. bummer. but it's okay, because it kind of works out - I can stay home for a bit with LO!

@lilteacherbee: AH! I have a sheltie! he's a tri (black, brown, white). What's your sister's look like? they are sooo sweet...mine is not shy at all, though..we're going dog whisperer on him starting this week because he thinks he runs the house. sigh.

I have been packing! We are closing on a house this Friday, and we went to go look at it once more yesterday to try and plan everything that we need to do! Phew, we are in for it.....I will leave it at that.

But we are super excited that we will have a long weekend (this weekend, Memorial Day weekend) to work on everything! We have painting, carpet cleaning, a ton of landscaping stuff to do outside, DH is redoing all of the plumbing, and the list goes on Thank goodness we have amazing friends and family who are willing to come over and help!

friday we went out to dinner, we ate outside because the weather was PERFECT! saturday, i went shopping with my mom, then DH went to the movies (saw the dictator). yesterday, i went to the zoo with some friends & we all went out to dinner after. was kind of a great weekend! =)

We worked during the wee hours of the weekend as usual, but went to an employee's bday Saturday afternoon then to our cousin's baby's 1 year bday party that evening. They served so much good food. Love 1st birthdays!

Sunday after the shop we went to Taste of Addison, and ate way too much food. The shrimp ceviche and pot roast sliders were the bomb. The $2 32oz strawberry lemonade from Chili's was the best $2 spent (vs $2 for a bottle of water or 16.9oz bottled beverage). Strawberry lemonade in general is good any how.

It was a really busy weekend for us. DH's family came into down (mom, dad, brother, and three cousins). We went out to dinner Friday night. We all took a painting class on Saturday afternoon. Saturday night I hosted a CAbi shopping party (one of the cousins is a consultant) while the boys went out to Main Event. On Sunday, while we were cooking breakfast, my dog ate an entire Jimmy Dean plastic sausage tube wrapper, so we spent the rest of the morning at the emergency animal clinic.

I spent the rest of Sunday on the couch attempting to recover.

I met up with a friend and her baby and went for a quick walk with her Friday afternoon. Then hubby came home early and my dad came over to swap cars with us (my parents are letting me use their very nice SUV since they never use it) so we vacuumed and cleaned it then moved everything around (car seat, stroller, etc). Then we jus relaxed and caught up on shows.

Saturday we had date night! We went out to a nice dinner (salmon belly tartare, baby octopus with chorizo and squid ink, marrow burger for me and duck for hubby)...and of course dessert (flourless chocolate cake with pastachio fluff topped with ganache). Then we went to Starbucks before going to watch The Hunger Games...we got home super late...around 12:30am and crashed after thanking my brother for staying with LO (she just slept the entire time).

Sunday we just relaxed at home and got ready for the week - cleaning, laundry, prepping food for lunches for the upcoming week...it rained all day so just stayed in rather than heading outside like we usually do...it was a nice cozy day

@Alivoo01: Yum! We'd planned to hit Taste of Addison, but life had other plans! We used to live in Addison and loved all the little festivals (Taste of Addison, Octoberfest, Kaboomtown)!
