Any good podcast recommendations you've enjoyed lately? DH and I also like to listen to true crime stories. We'll be in the car for 7 hours this week and would like to find something we can both listen to. DH likes Joe Rogan. He's ok, but I find his podcasts drag a bit for me.

Some recommended Slate’s Working podcast to me and we listened to a few on our recent drive. There are a ton to choose from, some are better than others. The firefighter one I took a screenshot of below is fascinating!
I also really like 99 percent invisible. They recently hosted Articles of Interest (still under the 99% feed) and there are some that I really enjoyed, the perfume and knock-offs ones come to mind. But if you scroll through the archive there are lots of other fascinating stories.

I love Armchair Expert. Dax Shepard is the host and he does really good interviews with both celebrities and “experts”.
Also, I never get time to watch the daily show, so I enjoy listening to The Daily Show - Ears Edition.

If you like true crime the second season of In the Dark is excellent. My favourite podcast of all time is probably Heavyweight - I love it so much. Late Night with Seth Meyers is good, I only listen to the Closer Look part. And if you liked the show The Good Place then The Good Place: the Podcast is good.

Another vote for Armchair Expert - he's interviewed A TON of people and there are some very interesting listens... you could at least get an hour or two out of that picking someone you're both interested in.
There is a podcast called The Rewatchables (from the Ringer Network) that is super fun if you have a favorite movie or two -- they kind of break down the movie and talk about the best and worst parts... It's very fun. The guys that do it are sports guys generally so there are some sports comparisons, but it's a fun listen!
