Any recommendations? Looking for a quick, fun read (I am just finishing a loooong serious book).
(Have read all Hunger Games and Twilight books but looking for something along these lines...ie, mindless!)

If you enjoyed The Hunger Games series, give "Divergent" by Veronica Roth a try.
I also really enjoyed:
"Everneath" by Brodi Ashton
"Starcrossed" by Josephine Angelini
"Uglies" by Scott Westerfield
"Vampire Academy" by Richelle Mead
"Under the Never Sky" by Veronica Rossi

Did you read Tina Fey's book Bossypants or Mindy Kaling's book Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? They were both good, quick, and hysterical!

I've heard Battle Royale is similar to the Hunger Games, but more well written.

"Delirium" or " Before I Fall" by Lauren Oliver (similar to Hunger Games)
The Women's Murder Club books by James Patterson
"Night Road" or "Firefly Lanes" by Kristin Hannah (LOVE these books, I've read them both a couple times!)

Ilona Andrews! Also in the urban fantasy/paranormal romance genre, but the protagonist is 24 instead of 16. Start with Magic Bites. Those books were what got me through every-two-hour-feedings-through-the-night right after LO was born... I was excited enough to find out what was going to happen that I didn't begrudge my nursing newborn for wanting to be up all night.

I've had several people recommend "The Maze Runner" series after reading "The Hunger Games." I bought it last night but haven't started it yet. It sounds good though!
@jessiejo17: I loved "Firefly Lane!" It was such a beautiful story! "Night Road" is on my reading list!!

@Sweet T: It's a toss up which one I love more, Night Road is a different tpe of story and almost more emotional (hard to believe I know) but it's good. I finished it in 2 days, I couldn't put it down!

I've heard a lot of people are reading 50 shades of Grey....I have no clue what it's about but I've heard a lot of people are reading it....

@mrs. wagon: ditto!
Although the main character annoys the heck outta me so I don't know why I keep reading!

@Sweet T: @jessiejo17: LOVE LOVE Firefly Lane.
Night Road was soo sad.
Brought tears to my eyes.

@regberadaisy: haha seriously! I'm like, "JUST STOP BUYING STUFF!" or "JUST TELL THEM THE TRUTH!" hehe.

@theknest: Fifty Shades of Grey is considered romance or erotica. It's a very quick and easy read, but definitely more mature. Lots of graphic sex.

I second Bossypants by Tina Fey- quick and funny read.
You can also take a look at Goodreads.com for recommendations, I love this site! Someone from here recommended it.

I second @Adira's suggestion, Divergent is a great read.
You might also try Matched by Ally Condie, another dystopian YA novel.

I third Bossypants, it's a riot! (unless intense laughing isn't allowed for bedrest mommies... haha)

Another vote for Bossypants! When my daughter was born, I went back and read her "Prayer for My Daughter." I could not stop laughing!

@Sweet T: I've heard that is supposed to be great for people finishing the HUnger Games and craving another good series. Enjoy!
I vote for Bossypants or one of Ellen DeGeneres' books. I adore her and always find myself laughing out loud!

@Adira: lol I am on pelvic rest so I would be too depressed to read 50 shades of gray!!

Chelsea Handler's books are all funny and quick reads (if you like her humor which I do!)

totally second the recommendation for the sookie stackhouse series by charlaine harris - its the series that true blood is based on

I second the recommendation for the Shopaholic series! They're fast, fun reads that require virtually zero brain power - perfect for long flights or when you've just finished a book that's heavy on the intellectual side!
Marian Keyes and Emily Giffin are other authors I like for fun, easy reads! Something Borrowed is my favourite by Giffin and Anybody Out There is my favourite by Keyes. Disclaimer though: Anybody Out There did make me bawl my eyes out through parts of it but it was an easy, fun read.

Sweet Valley Confidential. If you read Sweet Valley High as a kid, it's fun to see what happened to them 10 years later.

@winniebee: Oh yikes! I hope you feel better soon! My best friend actually started reading the book after breaking up with her boyfriend! It definitely depressed her too!

@Adira: Thanks! I've actually been on bedrest for over 5 weeks with this pregnancy (hence the need for a new book!) Should be released to freedom in another week or so, though!

I've just started to read Jennifer Weiner books, it's along the lines of Marian Keyes and Emily Giffin (both authors are good too!).
