Any recommendations for a skinny belt I could wear with a dress? Seems each time I order one online they fit my waist with pants but wouldn't work with wearing it higher up with a dress.

I have this cheapie from Asos and it's held up pretty good - it has lots of holes so you can wear it either around your natural waist or hips (I usually wear it with dresses): http://us.asos.com/asos/asos-fine-oblong-clean-waist-and-hip-belt/prd/6160737
And actually, after going to their site to look for that one, it looks like they have lots of other options too, if you'd prefer a different style.

I hardly ever wear belts either way, but I have separate ones that can go at my natural waist with dresses, vs more at my hips with pants. Never found one that worked both ways. The one I have for dresses was banana republic but years ago. Back when I still attempted to be stylish...

I used to take belts to the shoe repair place to get more holes punched in!

I would try an obi style belt. I have one that is wide but they do come in more narrow versions.

WHBM usually has good options. I love to wear belts with dresses and cardis!
