This is the look I am going for in LO's new room. I can't decide though if it is a very pale gray above the chair rail or white? I don't want gray to look weird against the chair rail, but I also feel like if we do white, it might blend together too much? Thoughts?

I'm not a huge fan of the grey trend so I'd go with white but if I was on the grey train Id go with grey

I may be seeing things but it actually looks like a very pale blue grey in the picture, which is what we currently have up in my office (from the previous owners). The blue grey works great because it can make white pop, works well with pastels or deeper colors, and depending on how you accessorize it can look more blue or more grey.

@Mrs. Grizzly Bear: I actually thought this as well. It's like a very very light robin's egg blue mixed with grey undertones.

@ladybee: I'm actually not a fan either but after a year of it being up on the walls, its kinda grown on me. Especially once I was able to put up some bright blue curtains. It softened the grey up. I might miss it in the next month or so when we paint the office purple but I'm really ready for the grey to go!

I used moonshine in LO's room- it is a very pale blue grey. When DH first opened the can he thought it was white!

Looks pale blue to me as well. Our current nursery is pale pink and blue (for a girl). I'm about to repaint it grey (yup, I have the grey bug!) for girl #2.

There are a lot of very light gray's out there. In our house we have BM Sterling and it's a very light, true gray that we love!

So here it is! I love the gray - it looks even better in person.
DH & I had a miscommunication about the pink unfortunately and it's more bubble gum than I wanted. What do you think? I feel like it will work once the furniture is in since it won't show as much. It still needs another coat.

@daniellemybelle: I see what you mean about the pink in comparison to the inspiration photo. Take the inspiration photo away and I think it looks GREAT!

@ladybee: @avivoca: Thanks, ladies. I am really trying to let it grow on me. It's a bit Pepto Bismol... but I really think when everything is in the room, it will not be as overwhelming.
I kind of want to ask DH what he thinks about mixing in a little white paint for the second coat, but I don't want to hurt his feelings. He's so proud.

@ladybee: We have a big glider that is light tan. The crib & dresser are white. The crib has a white ruffly skirt that matches the white ruffly curtains, which are the exact same as the inspiration picture. So a lot of white!

I say grey or a very pale off-white with grey tones in it. I wouldn't do a stark white like most trim is.

I personally like the pink, but I know myself well enough to say that if I don't like something, I can't get over it and it will annoy me to no end.

I'm so glad you did the grey on top. We did white above the chair rail in our bathroom and it is just so plain.The pink is pretty but I can see why you might want a different shade.
