Ok bees, DH is going to Greenville for the week in the middle of may for work and DS and I are going to join him!
I'd like to stay 'downtown' so that DS and I are within walking distances of cafes, shops, restaurants, cool places to walk to. Where is the downtown? What cross streets should I be looking for a hotel around? We will have a car but I really prefer to just throw DS in the carrier (10 months) and mosey around during the day while DH is working.

Bonus pints if you can recommend a nice hotel, with a pool! Price doesn't matter too too much, his work is paying. (Nothing crazy expensive tho!)
