Christmas for sure! Though it is also 1000x more stressful since we have to pick a side of the family to celebrate with since we can't celebrate with both at the same time. Someone always feels left out

Oh man that is really hard! I love them both, although more for the season/traditions than the actual day. Right now I think I'd say I love Halloween more because all of our traditions are pretty private to my dh and I, and don't require any traveling or spending a lot of money. I still love Christmas but I don't care much about getting gifts and all the running around to our families makes it sort of stressful for me.

@runsyellowlites: Does your church not celebrate Christmas as the birth of Christ? I know there's some debate about his actual birthday being in the summer (or so I've read), but I know growing up in the Catholic church, Christmas was a celebration of Jesus. I'm curious about how other Christian demoninations treat the holiday.

@deerylou: They do. We don't in our home though, or participate in the corporate celebrations/substitutions. We've actually started learning about celebrating & upholding the biblical feasts!

@runsyellowlites: Ahh, got it. Makes sense, now. Does the Feast of the Seven Fishes qualify? I like that one.

Christmas! For us, Halloween is just one night. Christmas is a whole season! I love decorating, buying presents, listening to Christmas music, everything!

Halloween is so much fun! I love the transition to fall and seeing pumpkins everywhere. Then throw in cute costumes and lots of candy, and it's a winner in my book.

Christmas for sure. I love Christmas mass and family dinners and dressing up and presents and cookies and how everyone seems nicer (unless they are suffering from present shopping stress).

I refuse to choose!!! Both are too wonderful in different ways. I am crazy for all holidays. My husband and I are working out the details now for our own family holiday that we will be having the third Saturday of January. Love to celebrate!!!

Christmas all the way! I really couldn't care less about Halloween, we don't really celebrate it here in Australia and I never found it that exciting.
Now Christmas on the other hand, I LOVE everything about it! The decorations, the music, shopping, family time, the holiday spirit etc. The last couple of years it's been rough though as it's summer in Australia and I just can't get into it as much when it's hot and sunny outside. Nor am I able to embrace the Aussie tradition of going to the beach in the afternoon and having a barbecue. I miss my snow, twinkling lights, and turkey dinners, followed by everyone sitting in front of the fireplace as we all enjoy our tryptophan induced food comas and enjoy the magic of the moment.

I was never that into Halloween, especially as an adult. It is so hard to find a costume that isn't completely slutty unless you make it yourself, and I don't have much time for or interest in that.
And I'm Jewish, so I don't really care about Christmas. We never celebrated it when I grew up. My husband likes Christmas though.
I guess I like fall weather better than winter, but the Christmas/holiday season is nice since there is a lot going on.
Eh. My favorite time of year is when I go on vacation. I'm less into holidays and am more about travel.

I love the period of time between Halloween and New Year's! All my favorite holidays and seasons happen during that time

I do love everything from September to New Year's, but it's really all about Christmas!
