This is my first post but I've been a long time lurker. I have a 5 week old baby girl. My friends, family, and coworkers with slightly older babies have been incredibly generous with lending out their baby clothes and gear. It seems like this hand-me-down arrangement will continue for a while especially within the family. I don't want my friends and family to feel taken advantage of. Of course I send thank yous and pictures (usually) but that doesn't take the financial burden off the family with the older child.
How do you reciprocate in these situations? Have you discussed it with the hand-me-downers?
That is so awesome and generous about all the hand me downs! We only got a couple of hand me down gear, and I think I even forgot to include those in my thank you notes, maybe? I think people generally just like knowing that it will get used and appreciated and that is enough. Sounds like you have made it well known how appreciative you are!
