I might be having a dense moment here, but how do you not drip milk all over the hands free pumping bra when you are diassemblong your pump? I leave the flanges in and disconnect it from the pump part and when I remove the flange, milk that collected in it drips onto my clothes or the bra. I have the medela freestyle. Anyone else have this problem?

I gently unzip the bra (simple wishes bustier) with the flanges still in, and I take each one off while simultaneously wiping it and myself down with a Kleenex. I machine wash once a week.

I always disconnected the flanges from the pump assembly (gently) with a burp cloth in my lap. I would carefully, pull the pumping bra up over one flange and let it drop in my lap and then do the other side. I had a Medela hands free halter style pumping bra (no zippers) so it was really easy to do (not as tight and more give to the fabric compared to the one with the zipper). I would then wipe myself off with the burp cloth and then finish taking off the bra.

I just take the whole flange assembly out of the bra still connected to the bottle. I have the simple wishes zip up one also.

@sloaneandpuffy: I do the same thing and always lean forward when taking the flanges off of myself so as not to drip anything.

@MUI831: yes, I forgot that leaning is key! Also moving one's legs out of the way in case there's drippage!

I have the Medela PISA and Simple Wishes handsfree bra. I take the bottles off the flanges and wipe the opening with a burp cloth then unzip the bra and hold a burp cloth against the flange as I take it off wiping any spills as I go.
