We were going to check out a local menorah lighting with the kids this evening, but it's going to rain... hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can go later this week.

@Mrs. Confetti: They did at some point but their stock of Hanukkah items is always iffy so we tend to buy way ahead of time!

@Mrs. Confetti: I've had that same problem finding candles before! A few years ago I went to like 4 different stores and no luck, and this is NYC-- that's just ridiculous! luckily this year we have a bunch left over from last year

Happy Hannukah everyone! My dad grew up Jewish. He was an atheist by adulthood and we lived in more of a Xmas house ( though not the Jesus christmas but the Santa Xmas) but hannukah was always taken into small account as well. I'm continuing the trend with my son. He loves his dreidels and singing the hannukah songs. It's such fun!!!
