Has anyone been able to get flu shots for their 2 or 3 year old? I got mine on Saturday and I was told the pediatric flu shot wasn't available yet there.

My 3 yr old got one a few weeks ago. They said that shot could be used for up to 3 yr old. The shots for my 6 yr old were not available at the time.

I scheduled one for last thursday per her pediatrician's flu shot days but we got a vm 2 days before her appointment saying they ran out. So no, not yet. I'm waiting for their second round of flu shots to be available.

Yes a week and a half ago my 2 yo got his at his appointment. My 4 month old's ped said they were only able to give them to high risk kids and was surprised that my other ds was able to get it. He said that there was a delay growing one strain or something so supply was limited. Older ds's doctor's office is at the hospital so maybe they have better access?

We have to wait until her 2 year old appointment because she just got her second chicken pox shot (DH had shingles they wanted her protected) and they said she needed 30 days in between shots due to both being live viruses.

When we had our well visit in August, our ped said they had them but hadn't received official word to start administering them. I need to follow up.

I just called and the first question I was asked was who our insurance was before they would tell me if the shots are available. I'm not sure why that was relevant, but maybe that's how they are being disbursed? Regardless when I answered UHC, I was told the shots are in fact available (I didn't specify shot or mist) but first available appt. was 9/30. LO will get hers on 10/7.
