Only Grand Turk and that was on a cruise so only spent a day there. I've heard the Beaches resort is amazing if you're taking the kids

We went for our Honeymoon! We stayed at The Sands at Grace Bay I think. It was in Oct. so it was pretty slow at the time.

We went this past December! We stayed at the Alexandra Resort via vrbo (rented a condo, cheaper than going direct via the hotel, but with all the same amenities). It has one of the highest rated restaurants on site (Mango Reef), a spectacular beach (all of Grace Bay is amazing) and bicycles you can borrow for free to ride into town or to another restaurant. The island is small, but you want to stay on Grace Bay. My in laws went in March and rented a house off the water. They liked it, but had to rent a car and drive to the beach, which was an inconvenience. Also, everything's expensive, but there's a great grocery store on the island so if you stay somewhere with a kitchen you can do breakfast/lunch in to save money. I'd be happy to answer any other questions you have, we loved it there!

Oh also, if you're bringing the kids, Beaches is next door to the Alexandra and I've heard great things about it. Lots for kids to do, but $$$$.

My husband and I are going next week. We are staying at the Grace Bay Club which was recommended to us by a friend. I think it is expensive but we were told it was well worth the splurge.

We have been to Beaches twice. Love it there. Great for kids and families. But if i didnt have kids i would never stay there. We also stayed at Seven Stars once. It was ok...i had morning sickness that time so it may have clouded my judgement. Beaches are the best and the water is this incredible color of blue. It is a very expensive island though!

Following this! We might be going in September if DH wins a trip at work! We would be staying at a Grace Bay resort.

@SleepyMonkey: I think we might go kid-free! I think beaches is all inclusive, right? So that might be why it's more expensive?
@Shutterbug: that looks and sounds heavenly! Are there a lot of rental places near by for activities like boating or paddle boarding? Any excursions or tours?

@HLK208: yes its all inclusive. Don't go if you are kid free! There are a lot of places there that would be nice for an adults only vacation. Have fun!

@HLK208: the Alexandra has free paddleboards and kayaks, a few other things like that. There was a cool excursion we almost went on where they pick you up on a boat, drive you to another small island to go snorkeling for conch shells, then they take you to another island full of iguanas and make you conch salad out of the conches you find,, then back to the resort. Caicos Dream Tours was the company I believe. We ended up not doing it because our flight was delayed by a day coming down and we didn't want to spend a full day on an excursion.
ETA: there was also free snorkeling equipment at the resort, and a reef about a mile down the beach that you could walk to.

@HLK208: If you are up for some trashy reality TV, the Real Housewives of NYC is airing Turks & Caicos episodes right now
.

@plantains: HAHA I just watched last night but I've been wanting to go for a few years! RHoNY should show more of Turks and Caicos and less of screaming 60 year-old women in bikini's and hooker heels lol

@HLK208: Oh I know right? That stunning island and I am subjected to a lunatic screeching in a yellow bikini and plastic heels
