If so, do you think it's worth going with 3 and 5 year olds?

We are heading to Florida in March with my extended family. They all have teens and are doing 2 days at Universal but we are skipping it with our 2 year old and saving our $$ for extra Disney days.
Admittedly I have only been to universal once (I'm a Disney nut) to Harry Potter World which is UNREAL awesome but it's small and crowded and dd wouldn't "get it".
I did notice a Dr Seuss area when we were there, but in general it seemed to be geared to older kids

I always feel like I don't give norm answers here.
We went to Universal Studios in Orlando during our honeymoon for a day (we did most of honeymoon at Disney World). It kicked our butts!!
I mean that we meet up with a few of my husband high school buddies (they were having a reunion in Florida during the time we planned to go for our honeymoon) and one by one (there were 8 of us) we all tapped out on going on rides. The rides were rough. I would say most of Universal Studios is probably for teenagers.
That being said we didn't have kids at that point and there were stuff for kids but we didn't actually see it since we hung out mostly at the harry potter and super heroes area. I think universal studios was broken up into themed "lands/areas".
I'm sure it's probably fun for the whole family. I remember seeing lots of little kids there... though this was 5 or so years ago so my memory is not prefect.

Universal Studios has two obnoxious colorful cartoony areas that are great fro little people. Most of the park is geared for older kids and adults.

I think that it's better for older kids. They have a lot of big roller coasters. They do have s little Dr. Suess area...

My brother just went but his kids are older. He's a Disney fanatic (they go at least once a year ) and says Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom are best for littles.

@chopsuey: I live nearby and have been to both parks (and had annual passes) several times. When we go, we go for us and DS just tags along. He likes seeing everything, and has fun on the few small rides for kids, but it's really geared towards older children, teens and adults. If you want to visit for yourself, then go and know it's not going to be the "magical" Disney experience for your LO's, but that they'll still have fun. If you're wanting to visit a park for them specifically, then Universal ain't it.

We went on amazing rides but I was a teenager when I was there & I was not even remotely interested in rides for little people (obvs) - I felt like it was geared more for older kids though. So much other stuff at the rest of Disney though!

I wouldn't. I don't like rollercoasters or scary rides and the last time DH and I went (just us, pre-kids), there wasn't even that much to do for the two of us. The Seuss area is the only thing I can think of for little ones.

I'd say no too; I've been a few times and don't remember too much for younger kids. I however, loved it!
