Did you do it yourself or have someone else do it? One of the only places here that does it wants $120 to do it! Ugh!

I haven't tried it myself, but a relative of mine has done it a few times with the kits you can buy cheap online (on Amazon?). He said it took a long time the first time but all the parts and tools came with the kit. He did it for several more people after. I think he said his kit was under $30.

Yes. The guy who fixed it was a newbie in training and my home button still gets stuck sometimes. DH just tried to fix his iphone 3 cracked screen and broke it some more so I gave him my 4s and bought the 6. Then he somehow got the 3 to work again. He said he wished he bought the kit that had all parts including the digitizer all in one the first time. If that makes any sense...so if you get the right kind of kit it might be easier.

Paid $150 to get mine replaced. The parts are pretty expensive.

DH and my dad replaced my mom's shattered screen. I think they got the screen kit for ~$50. They did it *almost* perfectly, but at the last step of snapping it over the camera, it got a little cracked with too much pressure. It's just one tiny crack in the black part of the iPad, so it doesn't affect the screen at all, so she's living with it.

My husband just replace both our Ipad screen and my shattered Iphone screen himself this past weekend.
He has 0 experience and just watched some youtube instructional videos to do it. The Ipad took longer because you really need an exacto knife to get the screen off (Ipads use an adhesive...Iphone screens just pop off fairly easily) and we didn't have one, so he was using a butter knife to chip away at the screen, bit by bit. Getting all the screen bits off took over an hour.....putting the new screen on was a 7 minute job.
You can get a Ipad screen + tools kit on amazon for $35, so it's much, much cheaper if you or your husband are handy.

They both look beautiful and brand new now, btw! Him fixing it is my Christmas present!
