Have you had a hysterectomy? If so, why? I’m considering it to prevent uterine and ovarian cancer (I would also have my ovaries removed) and to finally get rid of my endometriosis.

There’s a lot of groups on Reddit about hysterectomies/endo/fibroids that I’ve found helpful and full of lots of stories. I’m doing it for fibroids and suspected endometriosis.

Yep that was my post! I am 5 months post hysterectomy and it was by far one of the best decisions I ever made. I healed beautifully. I've been on hormone replacement therapy since I came out of surgery. My moods are finally even. I have no pain, no periods, no worry about pregnancy. If you need one I say do it.
