I used to use it maybe 3 years ago. It's a great way to quickly get rid of things and give it a new home. I also got a bag of clothes off of freecycle. Most stuff in there was crap but found a few treasures. I haven't been on the site in a while though!

My mom has used it a couple of times to get rid of things.
Funny story: she got rid of an old treadmill to someone who wanted to use it to walk his goats.

I've heard of it but I've never actually used it.

I heard of them a few years ago. I subscribed but you get a TON of emails. You really have to have a lot of free time to go through those emails. It's a great idea, though.

I’ve been signed up with them for a while and used it a few times to quickly get rid of things I didn’t want/need anymore, but I haven’t had any luck getting anything on it (other people had emailed for items before I did, rats!!). I have had luck getting some great deals on baby items on my local craigslist recently.
@bluestriped bee: You can select to only get 1 email a day – I think it’s called the “digest”. I just get one email a day from them, usually in the morning. But by the time you get the one email, a lot of stuff is already taken, so that’s a trade off.

I've used to to give away a lot of inherited baby stuff that I did not need as well as get rid of random household things that just took up room. I'd say its a little more reliable than craigslist when it comes to people showing up at the arrangement time/place. (I've had one person flake on me but many more on craigslist who flake)

@tequiero21: I set up a separate email for it..I use "lastnamespam@gmail.com" for things that I don't feel like getting constant emails from.

@sorrycharlie: hmmm that's a very good idea. i do have an email that i "sign up" things with. but i do check it regularly, so i should create a 3rd one haha. one is my regular legit mail. 2nd is my spam mail. 3rd is my spam spam mail. lol.

I've used it several times to get rid of stuff. It's a good way to get things out of your house.

@tequiero21: You can change your email preference to "daily digest" (or something like that). You'll only get 1 email a day.

We've used it a couple of times - it's been great to get rid of things that I might otherwise throw out.

i've unsubscribed. unfortunately, it's more of a pain than anything. if i need to get rid of anything, i'll just donate it.

I used to use it, but like others have said, it's kind of hit or miss. I found some treasures on there, but you've really got to dig or just be lucky. it's also a nice way to get rid of stuff, but I'd rather just donate, honestly, & get the tax write off.

I have used it...I set up the emails for daily digest so I don't get overwhelmed with them. I've gotten some maternity pants on there!
