Have you completely changed careers? I'm feeling really lost these days. I made a big cross-country move for my H's job last year. He loves his new job, but I'm really not happy. I'm starting to think I won't find what I'm looking for in my current industry (news). I'm tired of working late nights, weekends, super early mornings and everything in between. I just want to be a normal, weekday, 8 to 5 person but that's not likely in my current industry. I can write, so I'm hoping that will translate well into other industries (mainly PR, communications, media relations, etc.) But I just don't even know where to start.
TLDR: Have you changed careers? How did you do it? How did you decide what to do? I'm starting to feel trapped in my current job, and it's honestly really making me extremely depressed and anxious. If you have a success story or advice, please share!
I'm a little frustrated I didn't have more foresight, too. Just out of college, I was fine working whenever, whatever hours just to get into the industry. I felt like it didn't matter the hours or that it didn't pay much, as long as I was enjoying the work. But now that I'm married and thinking about TTC soon, looking at a future of working off hours just makes me sad.
