Last week we left a gallon of milk in the car overnight. However, it was a very cool day and night. Low 50's overnight and it was probably in the car from about 7p - 7a?
I opened it this morning and it didn't smell "sour" but it smelled different. But it's also low temp pasteurized non homogenized milk. So does anyone know if that smells different than regular store bought milk??
I tested it first in my coffee this morning and so far no issues?
What do you think? Good or bad? Should I give it to LO (14 months) or just use it myself?
My DH is a chef and his comment is that when it has been out at "room temp" (your car was probably a little warmer than outside) for that long bacteria starts to grow and if the milk hasn't already spoiled it is will shortly....
