My little one is about to turn one in two weeks. She's been happy one minute, then super fussy, cranky, throwing mini-tantrums, etc the next minute. I remember someone telling me about the Wonder Weeks app so I check and lo and behold, she's currently in a the "Programs" leap. Has anyone else gone through this? Please tell me it is temporary and it will get better. According to the app, I have 24 more days until the end of the leap.

I don't believe in Wonder Weeks but my good friend swore by that app for her LO's first year! She says it was pretty spot on for leaps, etc.

I totally swore by it too!! It definitely goes by due date and not birth date though.

I don't really believe in it. It hasn't lined up for LO. And the "wonder weeks" are often longer than a week, and on top of each other, so it's basically like, your whole life is a storm cloud as a parent, get used to it.
I do still like the app because it talks about what they should be learning and mastering as they grow, but I don't base any mood swings or anything like that on Wonder Weeks whatsoever.

@QBbride: it was crazy accurate for us too! My DH doubted it at first and now he tells everyone they have to buy it

I don't check if often. But whenever my son is being cranky (he's usually always so happy) I check the app and it's always been a wonder week! He just turned 1 and is being sassy lately too.

I don't believe in them. When I have looked at the weeks, they didn't match up for either one of my boys. I think babies are just babies and will always have something to make them cranky! I mean, they are going through and learning a lot! Plus, I don't like the idea of waiting for a "storm cloud" to come.

I felt they were pretty spot on for my LO! I really liked knowing that it was a temporary "wonder week" and it helped me have a lot more patience and understanding to get through it.

No they didn't ring true for us.

They were spot on. But the older LO was, the more it becomes wonder months. Also, I found eventually I became more used to the wonder month and it was easier to deal with it.

They were eerily spot on for us. I considered the chart a real sanity saver. We didn't anticipate the cloudy phases but every time I was at my wit's end I would pull it up and those storm clouds made me feel better... even up to just a few months ago and LO just turned 2.

I just bought the app b/c DD just turned 4 mo and we are such a hot mess over here... And lo and behold she is right smack in the middle of leap 4! Makes me feel a lil better that there's reason behind the madness!
