.... if you're going to have more kids?
I got asked that by the owner of our company last week during a casual conversation over dinner. While I feel he asked in a way that had nothing to do with work and more to do with general curiosity, it was still weird!

Yes the c level executive who hired me asked recently but he was leaving in a week so it was clear he was a personal exchange that had nothing to do with work.

My boss did, but it was just asking after I had DD. I didnt think anything of it because I have a great relationship with my boss and she was asking out of parenting curiosity.

Yes, but I fell that at my place of work the supervisor-supervisee relationships are pretty casual.

No way. I wouldn't answer if he did and I steer clear of any comments myself that indicate my future family plans. I'm probably over the top weird and guarded about it though. Like I freaked out that I mentioned having a child in a job interview where I was already told unless I royally screwed the interview up I had the job.

I had bosses right when I got married who were encouraging me to have kids. My boss over the last three years though has never asked, but I work from home so we don't often have casual conversations. I think the context is important!

I think it could be weird and initially would make me uncomfortable. But I agree that context is everything.

Asked nope, made asssumptions and I've told them we are done done done yep. So they know we are done but keep kidding me about a potentially third. It's not weird bc my office is that small and casual

Yeah but in a totally curious way. We are all really chill and all over share anyway. Working in a jail is very different from an office.

Mine did. It wasn't anything unexpected or unprofessional from him. Once I had LO, he was curious how soon we would be expanding our family. I'm open with him about our lives, so it wasn't a big deal.

Yes, but we are pretty open with one another. She knows I am done because a coworker made a comment about me possibly being pregnant and I kept saying, "no. God no. No" over and over again.

No, I think she assumed I would.
But, she did once ask my coworker directly if she was pregnant. She was missing a lot of work and it was understood that she was TTC. My boss is kind of old school and our office "mom" but still, not cool!
