Last night I was giving my 2.5 year old a horseback ride and she saw my tattoo. She said, "What's that?" I said, "It's a tattoo." She said, "Oh, okay. Horsey mommy!" And...that was that....for now.

He will sometimes point to the one on my write and say "button!" (it's a button (!)). But that's it.

They both know I have them but the excitement faded pretty fast after that

Yes, she asks about my tattoos and asks me to explain what they are if she doesn't understand the symbol. She likes to lift up my shirt and point some of them out and she already knows she can't get as many as Mommy ever.

Her daycare lady has a couple tattoos, so she knows what they are called and shows some interest.
DH was standing in the kitchen (with a shirt on) and announces to the room full of people that "daddy has a tattoo on his back, want to see it." We had no idea she even knew it was there, she's never mentioned it before. She LOVES my butterfly on my foot, she always is trying to make it "fly." She's 2 1/2.

Yeah, my daughter loves to look at mine. I told her they're a fun way to decorate yourself, and that she can get one when she's an adult if she wants.

It's doubtful she'll ever see my tattoo, and no one else she's around has one.
She loves to play with the piercings on my ears (my cartilage piercings), but doesn't think much of them.

She's noticed them (on my ankles) and tried to rub them off. That was probably when she was about 2.5/3 - now at 3.5 she pays them no attention.

My niece has noticed mine, then asked for some of her own! Lol. She's 3. I asked my brother if she could have temp tattoos and he said yeah, so when I took her to Target that day, I let her pick some out. She chose Disney princess ones of course.

My son (and all of the kids at his preschool) LOVE to point out the tattoo on my forearm. He was about 2.5 when I got new tattoos on my legs, and that sparked a ton of interest in giving himself tattoos -- mostly with dry-erase markers. (We got special body-safe tattoo markers for him after that.)
