Yep. Mine will be 3 in June and she is a complete Gremlin these days. I used to laugh when parents would say they walked on tip toes around their toddler/preschooler so they wouldn't blow up. I'm not laughing anymore.

@mrsjazz: it's pretty amazing how they go from not being able to throw things at all to throwing matchbox cards so hard they crack your cheekbone when they smack you in the face.

My LO's almost 2.5 years old and has been Gremlin-y for awhile. Last night was after his first day of preschool. He napped horribly there, still adjusting, etc. It was my turn to read to him. He hit the upper part of my belly. It's something he would never do. We didn't timeout him, but he came close. I'm hoping it was a tired response more than anything. He's owly and cooped up with this weather.

Yes, our almost 3 year old has been turning from a sweet boy to a gremlin the last couple of months. It is like he wakes up on the wrong side of the bed EVERY DAY. I never know when he is going to blow. So tiring.

yep 3's were so hard for us. 4's were hard but better. 5's still hard but better.

At 2.5 she's tough. Not listening, throwing things, getting worked up really fast if I don't so what she wants me to or if she doesn't want to do what I ask her too. Also just generally going feral - running around like a crazed animal, and the other day she was nibbling on her sister's tried for no good reason?!? Eek. Worst of all, when I raise my voice at the Gremlin, my younger daughter cries!

@mrs. wagon: agree, DD turns 5 in April and it has been escalating the closer we get.

He will be 3 in May and he has very high highs but the lows SUCK. He hit me hard today when I was carrying him upstairs for a nap and when I gave him a timeout he kept crying and saying "I sorry mommy, give you kisses and cuddles." I broke down crying too.

Oh the attitude. Yesterday my 30 month old DD looked me in the eye and said "Are you crazy?" while rolling her eyes at me. I found it really hard to remain calm.
