I've never lost enough hair to cause a bald spot with either pregnancy but DS is 10.5m and I am still shedding like mad. Good luck and hopefully your hair will grow back quickly.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: My legs (and body, because I know you were just dying to know that!) were less hairy (and haven't returned to their pre-pg hairy-ness). My hair hair is just as thick, if not a little more so, than it was pre-pg. I am (almost!) 11 months pp.

Can you tell if it's coming back in? Mine fell out for ages, and then it started coming back. The re-growth phase has been my least favorite by far though b/c the new hair stuck up straight in the air for a couple of months. Now that it is getting longer, it is still really frizzy, and if I don't attack my hair with smoothing serum and a straightening iron in the morning I look absurd

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: you retain more hair when you're pregnant, but when you're postpartum all those hormones that helped with the hair retention throughout pregnancy goes away and your hair starts falling out! it's my least favorite postpartum side effect!

@mrsjazz: Have you tried vitamins that promote healthy nails and long hair? I think it's beta caratin. Carrots and spinach are supposedly good for hair growth. I have used Nioxicin shampoo and conditioner, which helps to make your existing hair thicker.

i'm 8 months pp and had a TON of hair prepreg that got even thicker, wavier during preg... i've recently noticed baby hairs along my forehead... and a lil more shedding than normal. I WANT TO SHED MORE, I HAVE SO MUCH HAIR.
