I just read one of those BuzzFeed-type articles about scary stories of cameras getting hacked! So freaky! When I looked at our monitor yesterday morning, I noticed that the camera had tilted a little bit and I wondered - Oh God, is our camera hacked?? DH changed the password and port immediately. Phew!

No, you would need physical access to our dropcam before you can hack into it.

Ours isn't over IP so we don't have to worry about it. It is so scary to think about how they can be hacked

Ours isn't set up to be viewed remotely, so someone would have to hack into our wireless network and then the camera. From what I've read, most of the people who were hacked never changed the default settings.
Also, whenever the power to our camera gets interrupted the camera resets and moves on it's own, which could be why your camera was tilted.

Ours cannot be viewed remotely. So you would have to hack both our wireless Internet and the camera.
