I took my LOs to the mall yesterday and my toddler grabbed a newborn romper at Carter's and sat on it while she was in the stroller. I didn't notice until we were at the next store so we had to backtrack and return it!

Haha! My LO is only 3 months so she hasn't stolen anything but I did when I was little. Just some soap from the store (I was just grabbing at stuff) & my mom didn't notice until we got to the car!

Just happened for the first time Sat. LO grabbed a pair of shoes. Don't ask me how I missed them. She was half sitting on them but not completely out of view. Didn't realize until after we were out of the store. Ugh

At the grocery store a zucchini got wedged behind him & the seat. I didn't notice until we were unloading at the car!

She was more an accomplice to my theft. I had put the car seat inside the shopping cart in target and put my items around it. She was having a meltdown by the time we got to check out so I unloaded the cart really quick. I didn't notice until I put the car seat back in the car that a nursing bra was hidden underneath. Since she was still in meltdown mode I just threw it in a bag and went home. I'm actually wearing it right now.
We shop there plenty so I don't feel too bad.

Yep, a can of alfredo sauce, but not her fault. I was grocery shopping with her in the cart inside her infant seat, and it rolled underneath and got stuck. I didn't notice until I couldn't figure out why the seat wouldn't click into the base in the car.
I just left and next time I was in explained that I'd accidentally stolen one last time and just paid for another one and left it there.

@autumnlove: Chloe did the exact same thing last summer at old navy, with flip flops. I didn't notice until we were home!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Yup! And it had a security sensor on it and we left the store thinking I set the sensor off with my phone lol!

LO stole a spoon from a coffee shop in London. We saw that it was still in his hand when we went outside, so I brought it back in. Baby thief!

So far he has 'stolen' a Lego from my nephew and an orange and phone for his little friends play kitchen! All have been returned to their rightful owners.

No LO's yet, but once when I was fairly young I took a candy from one of those buckets on a store counter. I thought it was free, like at some restaurants they have mints. My mom was super pissed. I had forgotten it, but now thinking about it I still get a little upset because she got so mad over what was essentially an accident because I just didn't understand. (Not like upset at her now, just re-feeling that from when I was little.)

A banana. DH took him to the convenience store up the street. LO grabbed a banana from the counter. He grabbed a soda once at Target, but I was thirsty so it was added. Most of it we add to whatever, when he gets bigger, it will be returned or lots of no's will be said.

@autumnlove: lol, little miss is ready for another sibling for her birthday
C has grabbed an Elmo (non-talking THANK GOODNESS) and refused to put it down until I ripped off the tag to give the girl, checked out, then he threw it on the ground after I paid Similar situation with the Pete book last week. Luckily all things I was already planning to buy- he's usually not into anything for more than 10 seconds.
I had the bagger check the race car shopping cart last week since he was super quiet while unloading the cart- perfect level to snag candy he's just learned about.
