DD2 had her one year check up yesterday so she got her flu shot then. We have to take her back in a month for the booster. Will bring DD1 then too for her flu shot.

Our pediatrician does a flu shot clinic in mid September so we will go then.

Nope. Our ped doesn't have them in yet. We'll go as soon as they schedule their flu shot clinic.

Yep, got it Monday at her 18 month visit. Didn't want to go back for flu shot clinic or risk them running out!

Our doesn't typically get them in until October, so I haven't thought about it yet. Does anyone get LO the mist instead of the shot? I'd like to try that this year since they think it might offer a little more protection.

@BananaPancakes: I remember this big discussion we had about the mist vs shot last year on here....

@LuLu Mom: I *think* you have to be 6m? DD2 didn't get it last year.

Yup, yesterday at her 9 month check. 2nd shot and the older are scheduled for early October.
Our older got the mist at 2 and I'm open to her getting it again. I just want her to get something. Or dr doesn't have the most yet.

@regberadaisy: Oh geez, was I part of it? If I was, I literally have no recollection. My brain is fried by toddlerhood!

Oooo i need to ask about this when we see the ped in 2 weeks.

@regberadaisy: DD2 will be 6 months at that check so that might work!

Not yet. His pedi office didn't offer it yet when we went for his 2 year check up. I need to check and see when they're available so I can take him in!

Yep, flu shot can be given at 6 months and the FluMist can be given starting at 2 years. I always get the mist (when I'm not pregnant) and my husband and son (and daughter this year) will receive the FluMist as well.

she had her one year check up 2 weeks ago and got it then. She had a flu shot at the end of the season last year in February so she doesn't need the booster.

He'll get it at his 2-year will visit next week. I need to get mine, too!

Nope. I'm assuming they'll do it along with her other shots at her 4 month appointment at the end of the month.
