Ugh, yes, happens every year. People are idiots. They're prepping for Friday, when instead of just being idiots, they'll become full-fledged @ssholes. It's illegal to set them off in the city, but you can buy really powerful fireworks on reservations near here, so they're easy to get. The police can't catch the random ones and don't have enough manpower to patrol everywhere on the 4th...last year, our local firehouse sent out trucks to warn anyone they could catch, but they couldn't really do anything to people. Not looking forward to this year, if they wake LO I'm going to be pissed!

Neighborhood fireworks give me anxiety attacks DS will sleep through it but I wake up in sweats!

Not on random days but at random times. For example, Victoria Day holiday and Canada Day, while I heard fireworks at night on those holiday nights, someone would be playing around with fireworks at, like, 7pm the day before when it was still bright out. So annoying since my kids are in bed by then.

Yes. And I am totally the grumpy old lady saying, "Those damn high school kids! Do their parents know they're out at this hour?!"

We heard some on Monday night, but not since then, which is a little unusual. I felt like we heard them all.summer. last year. I love the 4th of July and my family sets off fireworks every year, so I don't mind them on the actual 4th, but I don't understand the need to set them off at other times...

Yes, so far every night since Sunday. It drives me insane because I would be so irritated if it woke up LO, but luckily, she has slept through fine and it doesn't bother my dog. Still irritating!

Yes, but it's legal in my city to buy and light fireworks 10 days prior to the 4th. They don't bother me but I was a total firework pyro growing up. That and the kids have always slept through them.

Before we moved to the suburbs from the city, we would jokingly play the game of gun shots or fireworks. Luckily, it was almost always fireworks.
