I'm terrified the fireworks are going to wake up lo. Did this happen to anyone. We also live in a town that is still a town but is also rural so people like to shoot guns

Once he's asleep, there isn't much that wakes him up at night. He is terrified of up close fireworks though. So sometimes, that prevents him from falling asleep if they've started before he's fallen asleep.

That was a concern for us at our old house. Honestly, once she was asleep, she slept hard. We had a white noise machine on as well to help diffuse the sound of the fireworks.

I was pretty concerned about fireworks and thunder with a sleeping baby, but actually, with his little noise machine, nothing really seems to wake him!

We turned the white noise up a little extra loud if we knew fire works were coming, but like others, once she is asleep the first few hours she's usually out.
My bigger problem was our dog- he's terrified of them, so would bark like crazy every time some idiot set one off. I live in a city and people still feel the need to set them off on the street.

We've heard some fireworks in the distance this week but our white noise is on pretty loud.

Nope, and we live in an area where people shoot off full-size ones and are just ridiculous in general. I've been woken up in the middle of the night by ridiculously loud ones many times, and somehow the kids never stir.

Yay! I hope low is the same, DH pointed out she slept through a mariachi band playing in the back yard the other day.

I'm nervous about this. Some fireworks went off near our house last night and it woke DH and I up. LO did ok but it was only for a couple of minutes.

Last year they did not wake her up because she was a pretty sound sleeper at that point. This year I expect they will wake her up. I'm not that concerned about the city fireworks because they shouldn't be THAT loud and they'll be over early-ish..... but the assholes in our neighborhood who shoot off illegal fireworks in the suburbs until all hours? Arghh... I am pissed before it has even happened.

Nope. I'm always worried they will wake her but they never have. She has slept in the house while fireworks were going off in the cult de sac right outside.

Once the boys are asleep, outside noises do not wake them up all! We have a high school football stadium that shoots cannons when they score. They have never woken up.
