The only thing the hubs and I ever disagreed on was when to rescue LO when she's crying in her crib at night. But really, that's nothing. I wonder if we'll ever really disagree about something in terms of raising our children.

So far we haven't had any disagreements! Should be interesting when LO gets older though.

Not really. The other day he said we shouldn't let lo touch our dogs leash because its dirty. I said it was fine. And today I caught him letting her touch the leash. He said its because I said it was fine. So obviously no big deal.

I was on the fence about teaching my LO Cantonese, and one day I decided that I was going to give it a try for the day. My husband was not on board because it would be an unfair disadvantage for him not to understand. I respected his wishes. Quite honestly my Cantonese is horrible, and it's better off for my LO to learn from his grandparents.

DS is 7 so... yes we have.
When we've had a disagreement about how something should be or is handled we usually (95% of the time) talk about it AFTER DS has left the room... which usually means the situation has already been handled.
If one of us disagrees about how it was handled we talk about it and find a middle ground or compromise (which usually comes from getting a better understand of WHY the other parent did what they did).... If there is a middle ground found or we agree that how it was handled wasn't the best option, the parent that handled it will apologize or rectify/adjust the consequence and the next time it comes up we handle it like we agreed upon.
We really do our best to keep complete unity infront of DS whether we 100% agree with what's going down or not... & then handle it together later to get on the same page with one another.
It's really worked & DS knows that he can sway either of us! bwahahahaha =)

We had a huge disagreement on schooling but my husband won that one with a solid respectful argument. When it comes to day to day things and discipline I win every time. I am the main caregiver and I take my role very seriously. I always tell him that he is more than welcome to stay home with the kids while I go back and finish my residency and I'll work. If not, he can hush 
I have had to give my husband constant reminders about showing affection. In his very traditional family it just isn't done and expectations are always very high for success. I don't care for that type of withholding of affection as discipline and really neither does he. It is difficult for him to change so much as an adult but he really tries and appreciates my efforts to remind him.
