I was very afraid of commitment before I started dating DH! I never wanted to get TOO serious and I would change the subject if a SO brought it up...I was probably just dating the wrong guys.

Um . . . yes. My friends called me the three-date wander because I always bailed before it could get remotely serious.
Then around 25, I finally dated someone for a year. After that, my next long-term relationship was DH to whom I was very happy to commit!

haha I had the opposite problem! I fell "in love" so quickly. But then I stayed committed for a long time. I started crushing on this one guy when I was 12 and didn't stop liking him until I started dating his cousin when I was 18.

Same as Mrs. Pen for me. I always got too into it too soon, which only made my inevitable heartache that much worse! Even in high school I would imagine getting married right away. Ugh.

I was pretty scared of commitment up until my mid-twenties or so--the thought of being with someone long-term made me feel really stifled and panicky! But when DH and I got together, it just clicked and I was never scared or anything.

YES. Needless to say, I was/am a commit-aphoeb. It took me over a year of dating to tell my husband that I loved him, and I wouldnt get serious with anyone for several years after the demise of the relationship with "THE ex".
