Like Coachella, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo or Stagecoach? Did you have fun or was it too crowded?

Nope! I try to avoid large crowds when I can.

We live in Austin and we went to ACL one time. We got free tickets! Friday was amazing, the weather was beautiful and the city had worked on the grass so it was a perfect lawn, but then everything was ruined when it POURED rain on Sat. We saw Kings Of Leon on Fri and Decemberists, Dave Matthews Band, Flogging Molly, etc on Sat. We didn't stay through DMB because we were both miserable and our feet were soaking wet from the mud and rain. People were rolling around in the mud, but they didn't know that they use "Dillo dirt" for fertilizer for the grass, so I wasn't about to touch that! We didn't go on Sunday for Pearl Jam because we were exhausted! We sold our extra tickets.
All in all, we made so many memories and we had a good time, but I'd only go back if I got free tickets again and there was a band that I loved that would be playing!

We go to outside lands & treasure island music mestivals (sf's 2 big music fests) every year and we loooove it! There's so much room to roam around, great food tents, wine/beer tents, etsy-esque shopping tents and so much more.....

YES! DH and I LOOOOVE Music Festivals! I'm really sad we are missing Coachella this year and a few other big ones.

I love music festivals, and in a past life i worked in the music industry so i usually get in free.
Ive been to Woodstock 99, coachella, sxsw, glastonbury, hfstival and a bunch of smaller radio festivals. -

I used to go to Lollapalooza all the time. I loved it! I've also gone to Summerfest, Warped Tour (LOL high school), etc. Now I want to go to a concert...it's been awhile!

When I was in college I worked at Lollapalooza a couple times. It was usually insane - millions of people, lots of mud (why is it always muddy??), really loud, etc. But then I was never into anyone at Lollapalooza except maybe the headliners and the other bands were kind of meh, so the whole experience wasn't anything spectacular.

i went to the caravan that dave matthews band had the summer of 2011, and had a GREAT time
it was a 3 day festival, and while there were a ton of people there, it didn't feel too crowded most of the time - we were easily able to move around, lay out a blanket etc.

I've been to Glastonbury and SXSW, I had a brilliant time.

I've been to Country Stampede a few times, but that is it. Great time, but definitely a crazy time!

Lived in Austin for 20 years and NEVER went to ACL or SXSW.

I've been to Coachella twice and it was soooooooo hot. Fun, but hot.
