We are having a GNO's and going to an Escape room next month - cant wait!

I did one with some coworkers (that are also good friends) and it was so much fun! We made it out and have been talking about doing another one ever since! Have fun

A colleague of mine organized one of these for a work event - he set it up in our board rooms. It was pretty impressive. I wasn't really participating (I'm on mat leave and was visiting with my baby) but of the three teams, two figured it out and one (hilariously, the one with all the managers) did not.

@Mamaof2: The room we did is supposed to be one of the hardest and has a less than 50% escape rate. I have friends that just did the same room last weekend and they didn't make it either. Even without escaping it was a lot of fun.

We've done two.. the first was a large group one involving actors and was more complex. It has a 30% escape rate.. we just missed getting out. The second was smaller and just 4 of us we did get out that one! They are so much fun though.

Yes! A bunch of times. I quite like them. We have only escaped once (and have gone with different groups of people-the constant is my hubby-) out of 5 times now. We were less than 5 minutes from escaping at our last room and there was some technical difficulties with one of the things in the room so they "gave us the win" but it didn't feel authentic. Also, one time, a person we went with just fooled around with the final lock because we knew we had no hope of escape, and he got it open and we escaped...haha. I don't count that either.
I like them as long as the theme jives with me because it impacts the way the room is set up and the kinds of puzzles you need to do. Also, we have gone to three different company's escape rooms now and they are so mug better when they are set up and established by a "game maker" who does it as a job. We went to one that was so awful and modgpodged together that it didn't make sense and wasn't enjoyable.

Yes! DH and I did it with another married couple. It was a sci-fi Area 51 type thing. Super fun! And we escaped with 7 minutes to spare.

Yes, it was fun and we made it out! DH and I did it in Chicago with a group of people we didn't know which was kind of cool.

We had a nuclear reactor escape room for a work party a few months ago. Lots of fun and we made it!

Yes, I've done it three times in three different cities. I only got out once thanks to a person in the group who was a pro at them. I think the one we did together was his 12th or 14th.
"American Housewife" did an escape room for her tween son's birthday in their basement. Such a cool idea!

Sooo fun! We didn't make it out, but I think when we go again (and we definitely will) we will be so much more prepared for how the whole thing works and I'm determined to make it!

Yes! twice now with work. The first time we didn't make it out, but the second time we did! Although the second room was easier than the first, but both only have a 20-25% escape rate.

We only did it once and had so much fun. We did make it out, even though we somehow missed a clue and had to figure out the last key in a weird and very roundabout way.... I'd love to go again though!
