I bought a MK handbag at Nordstrom online last week and just got it - its HUGE!!!! I have never bought a bag online before and now I am scared to try again. I even saw the model holding the bag and it didn't appear to be that big - its a beautiful bag but it must go back! 
Guess I need to shop in store!

I have! It's generally worked out pretty well, but one time I bought a "beach bag" from j. Crew that turned out to be adorable...but tiny! It was final sale, too. I still use it but I'm fairly sure I look ridiculous with my towel shoved in there and sticking out lol.

Yep, I got a Kate Spade little Minka bag online as well as a few Ju Ju be bags online that double as my purse right now.

I'm not really a purse person, but I actually buy most of my bags online. My favorite site to shop is eBags.com - they have great deals (and great Ebates!) and they do a really good job of illustrating size, fabric, etc with lots of info and reviews. Only problem with the site is too many bags to wade through when I'm searching!

I do. And I'll admit twice what I got wasn't exactly what I had envisioned, even after looking at the pics with the model like you did. Both were smaller than I had hoped, but they ended up working out just fine in the end and it hasn't deterred me!! LOL

I have and it worked outwell - I did YouTube a bunch of videos of the bag first because I was trying to decide b/w two sizes. The videos were MUCH more helpful than pics of the bags on models.

I buy all my Matt & Nat bags online. Sometimes the sizes aren't quite what I expected, but they're usually pretty close.

I do but I like to look at reviews on blogs or on youtube first. Plus I don't really mind returning if the site offers free returns.

Only Kate Spade surprise sales - and it's usually something I've seen at Nordstrom or the KS store that I've had on my wishlist.

Sounds crazy, but I actually measure out with a ruler. I've made mistakes before and I can't visualize size very well.

I bought a purse online during the Kate Spade Surprise Sale and even though I got out a ruler and looked at the pictures with the model it was still bigger than I anticipated. But being a new mom I figure the extra space will come in handy but next time I'll probably stick to styles I have seen in person.

Yes, but only from Zappos so I could have months to decide whether I liked it and send it back no problems.
