I'm not sure I'd have the balls , but there is a loud party somewhere near us and its really starting to bug me! I can't sleep as it is and I have a haircut at. 9 am tomorrow so I have to get up around 7:30 to eat and test my blood sugar before I leave so I'm really aggravated! It's not even too late here - 10ish - but now they're setting off fireworks. My aggravation is making me feel old!

Yep. In college my neighbors threw parties every night. It wouldn't have been so bad if people weren't jumping on our balcony and generally raising hell from about 11pm to 4-5am. They stole our grill off the balcony one night.... And it was a large grill!
I also called the cops on our neighbor's daughter at our old place. We lived in a very densely populated area. There's no need to have outdoor speakers blaring at 3am on a Tuesday.

I've totally done it. When I lived in condo buildings in the city I gave my neighbors until 2 am; living in the suburbs I give them until midnight. Except the one annoying neighbor who brings speakers outside even in the dead of winter - I call the cops on him at 10.

Yep. After I graduated college I still lived near campus for a few years. I quickly turned into an old lady and had to call the cops a few times on a few ragers. I only felt bad fora little while

My DH has a few times. We usually wait until 1 am - 2 am before calling. It's just so annoying when we're trying to sleep.

Yes! Several times and I would do it again! If it is keeping me awake and it is past the time where things need to quiet down by law, I think here it is 10 or 11pm, i dont hesitate.

Yep, by law they need to quiet down by 10, I won't call until it hits midnight or 1 am. They would need to be pretty annoying for me to call though.

DH will go ask them to turn it down if need be. I called once when there was a brawl at a party outside & DH had gone to talk to them & someone pulled a knife on him. We dont live in the best neighborhood
the police are usually in the area anyway because we have a few bars & clubs on the street next to ours so you can usually find one & flag them down if there's an issue. I doubt they respond to noise complaints here unless the noise is like gunshots.

Yep I have! In my university days I worked a job where I had to be up at 5am. My neighbors would have loud parties all through the week and around 1am I would call the cops.

I haven't but I would it was past the neighborhood quiet hours! I did have a downstairs neighbor play guitar really loudly after midnight and it woke me up. I went downstairs, asked him to stop, and he did.

I called about a party senior year of college...actually they were friends of ours and next door neighbors! But it was the middle of the night, I had to get up early and it was super loud even w/earplugs and a pillow over my head. If people are being a-holes, I don't have a problem calling the cops.
