I haven't been in this particular situation but really, Friend1 needs to get over it! Yeesh! However, I've been in situations where Friend dates sibling...And THAT'S drama!

DH dated a girl and broke up with her and she went kinda nuts trying to get him back. Fast forward a while and she's dating his friend. He didn't seem to mind because he had (obviously) moved on but he thought it was kind of shady. They got engaged after a while. Then, one night at the bar she was drunk and told DH that it should have been HIM! DH told her to shut her mouth and never said anything to the guy.
We were invited to the wedding but chose not to go and he really hasn't spoken to his "friend" since. That friendship doesn't really exist any longer for more reasons than this, but it's a factor.

Yep, and I married him. It was in high school though. It created a LOT of ridiculous drama. DH had dated one of my friends for nearly a year and a few months after they broke up, we began talking and realized that we had a strong connection. We didn't start dating until 6ish months later because of all the drama.

In HS, I was the reason that an acquaintace friend's bf broke up with her.

Nope. I've told a friend that it was fine to pursue someone I dated though.

@artbee: Good or bad? My brother once dated two of my friends (separate times, of course) and I am no longer friends with those girls. Ugh.

I dated a co-workers ex. When we met he asked where I worked and mentioned his ex-girlfriend worked there. In his book they were never THAT serious but her family sent him letters saying he needed to propose and all kinds of crazy things. It never really caused much drama at work because she was married to someone else by then but she would ask questions trying to see where he was at now with his life.

I've never done this but my sister did. In high school she and her best friend dated a pair of best friends. the four of them did everything together and both couples dated for 2ish years. Fast forward to their junior year in college and my sister runs into her friend's ex-boyfriend at the grocery store when she was home on break. They decided to get dinner and ended up dating. They are now married with two little girls. My sister's "friend" spread some terrible rumors about the two of them but everyone's moved on now and I think it worked out for the best.

She and I were co-workers at a student aid job in college. While we were still working together, I randomly met my husband at a party, and then found out they used to date (for 3 years!, so it was pretty serious). They had been broken up for a year by that point, and I was straightforward with her immediately. We quit working together shortly after, and did not remain friends.
