We just got word that someone in LO's class has lice. DH had the day off work so he went and picked her up early and will be checking her scalp.
I heard it transmits easier these days because kids are taking selfies together! Gah!
Have you ever dealt with lice before? I am really hoping we do not get it.

We've had quite a few notices from daycare that someone in their classes have had lice. I keep checking. I heard there's a new resistant breed of lice out there now ... joy...

Gah! There was once a student who had it in my classroom but somehow the other kids didn't get it.
I haven't ever dealt with lice myself or know of anyone who had it growing up. I'm really hoping my kids don't ever get it. An article popped up on my news feed yesterday about how lice are getting more resistant to treatment and require prescriptions ??!

someone in dd's class had it. they had the rest of us wash our sheets that night and i didn't hear of it spreading to anyone else! i still remember having it as a kid, not fun!

i had it as a kid and my sister had it BAD. we both have a lot of hair and i remember my mom shampooing and picking through her hair for what seemed like a week!

We've had notices of it at daycare. We wash his daycare blanket and clothes in hot water they send home and examine his hair carefully.

I had it as a kid and I was so mortified. We had to bag up all by bedding, throw out my hair brushes and hair accessories, wash my hair in some special treatment shampoo daily, and use the nit brush several times a day. I wasn't allowed to go out with friends to parties and sleepovers. It was miserable.
