She is friends with a gal who is DS's friends mom and we had a play date before I knew she was on here but she looked SO familiar! Hahaha. I was super embarrassed after I found how how I "knew" her. If it were anyone else, I would still be embarrassed lol but she is so sweet and cool.

Totally okay, though, because I pieced together her pregnancy through WB/HB before she went public on Facebook. We're both just good detectives! -
i've invited my friends IRL, and talk about hellobee all the time. i'm very open and enthusiastic about this site and don't really share things on here that i wouldn't feel comfortable with the public knowing - i guess that's why i don't mind blogging either!
i actually WISH more of my IRL friends were on here, but none of them have accepted my invites... though they'll read the blog if i link something of interest to them. my one IRL friend that i knew before HB is @Mrs. Checkers! we've known each other over 10 years.

Only one friend but she doesn't post on the boards. I don't know many people IRL who have kids. My friend did mention the site to her friend and that friend found some comments I made in the boards.

Nope. I hope it doesn't happen either. I completely agree with others who have said it's their space. I try not to say anything too embarrassing but I'm definitely more open here than I would be with some pregnant women or moms I know IRL.

Not that I know of. HB is my safe space. It wouldn't bother me if someone I knew joined of if I found out that I do know someone here. I belong to a running forum and a bunch of us get together once a year or so for a big race.

An IRL friend lurks here and recognized me by a pic I posted. Luckily she's one of the few I don't mind finding me! That prompted me to change my picture to this coffee one

I know a woman from my Oh-Dear-Lord-We're-Having-Twins class. It was funny, because I recognized her outfit first (I had just seen it that night at class) before I recognized her face.

A couple of friends have approached me asking if I'm a blogger because they recognized my pictures on the blog!
I sometimes post when my blog posts go up on facebook, so people know I'm on here, but I think most of my IRL friends aren't the type to post on message boards!
One very close IRL friend found me here. Or, I found her.
