I used to get so ticked with them as a kid I would peel off th stickers and replace them to 'beat' it, but never I've never legitimately done it.

I have not but I had a friend in high school who could do them in minutes! Apparently there are basically algorithms you can figure out that will enable you to finish them really quickly.

I know I've told this story before, but on our 3rd date, my husband invited me back to his place....
and solved a rubiks cube in front of me within minutes. I've made him repeat that trick several times.
I fell in love a little bit that night, which was confirmed as I got to know him better. I'm not sure if it's related, but he can do crazy math in his head, too (I can't---so I just always ask him).

Haaaa no I've never solved a Rubiks cube. I know a 7-year old who can do it (and I don't mean peeling the stickers off) and it amazes me.
